A pedestrian has died after he was struck by a van on U.S. Highway 27 in Leesburg Friday evening, according to the Leesburg Police Department. According to the report, a white 2016 van traveling southbound on U.S. 27 struck Michael Anthony, 53, of Leesburg, who was crossing the roadway. Next of kin has been notified. Four people, including two children, were found dead from carbon monoxide poisoning in an Ocala home, according to the Marion County Sheriff’s Office. A car fire had a stretch of Interstate 95 in Pompano Beach closed on Friday. The incident happened in the northbound lanes of I-95 near Mile Marker 38.
