A 75-year-old Spring Hill woman died after her car collided with two other vehicles at an intersection Thursday. The Florida Highway Patrol said the woman was driving a Kia Forte north on Horizon Drive when she entered the path of an eastbound Mercedes SUV driven by a 64-year-old Spring Hill man. An 83-year-old man from The Villages died after losing control of his vehicle and crashing into a tree along US-41. The Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) said his Chrysler Pacifica was traveling northbound when it left the roadway north of South Pendant Point and struck a tree. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, around 6:30 a.m., the 29-year-old pedestrian was running westbound in the center median near the 114-mile marker on I-10. Troopers reported that the pedestrian ran into the inside lane in front of the van. The driver of the van attempted to avoid hitting the pedestrian by swerving into the median.
