At 93 years old, a man from Ocala faces two counts of attempted first-degree murder after Marion County Sheriff’s deputies say he tried to kill his wife, twice. According to the arrest report, deputies responded to the home of Helmut Lockner, 93, on reports of a domestic battery incident on Saturday. The victim, Lockner’s wife of 60 years, told deputies the couple were sitting in the living room watching TV. Lockner complained of pain and said he wanted to die.

The West Palm Beach Police Department announced Monday a woman has died, weeks after getting hit by a vehicle. A 44-year-old Williston man died Sunday morning when the ATV he was driving slipped into a depression, rolled and ejected him from the vehicle along NE 120th Avenue.
