Troopers investigate fatal crash in Bradenton

One person is dead after a fatal crash involving a car and pedestrian, the Florida Highway Patrol announced. Troopers responded to a crash on Woodlawn Drive and Wildewood Springs Boulevard around 5:35 a.m. According to FHP, a person was driving a Hyundai Sonata on Woodlawn Drive when they ran over something. Bonita Springs house fire leaves home severely damaged

A late-night fire severely damaged a home in Bonita Springs, leaving most of the structure burned. No serious injuries were reported, but a family member suffered a minor foot injury while attempting to put out the flames.
