A bicyclist was killed Thursday morning in a crash with a semitruck in Orange County, according to Florida Highway Patrol. The crash happened just after 6 a.m. on Orange Avenue near Prince Street. The Collier County Sheriff’s Office responded to an incident involving a pedestrian on Immokalee Road. The incident was reported to deputies at around 5:45 a.m. on Thursday near the Collier Charter School. A man was taken to the hospital after a shooting in St. Petersburg Wednesday evening. The Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office said deputies responded to 5352 79th Street North after reports of shots fired in the area. Once deputies arrived at the scene, they found a man with a gunshot wound, officials said. The victim was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, according to deputies.
