Driver crashes vehicle into canal along West Okeechobee Road

photo by: (WPLG)  A driver is doing OK after crashing his or her vehicle into a canal along West Okeechobee Road Friday morning, first responders confirmed to Local 10 News. Sky 10 was above the scene near Northwest 105th Way at 6:45 a.m. as the white vehicle was being hoisted out of the water. Miami-Dade Fire Rescue officials confirmed that the driver had made it out of the vehicle before first responders arrived. No one was transported to the hospital.

Woman rushed to the hospital after being hit by car in Tampa: Police

A woman was rushed to the hospital with life-threatening injuries after she was hit by a car in Tampa Thursday evening, according to the Tampa Police Department.  What we know: Officers said they responded just after 7:45 p.m. to the 4100 block of East Busch Boulevard after receiving reports that a pedestrian was hit by a car.  The woman was found in the road when police arrived at the scene, and officers said she was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

Two cars went into canals Friday morning in Miami-Dade, and in one instance, one person was taken to the hospital. An arrest was made in a deadly Boynton Beach crash that killed two people and injured four, the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office says. Two vehicles strike 71-year-old woman in Delray Beach, pronounced dead at scene

An elderly woman was killed after she was struck by two vehicles in Delray Beach on Wednesday night. The Delray Beach Police Department (DRPD) said the deadly crash occurred at around 8:21 p.m. at 2000 S. Ocean Boulevard. The 71-year-old woman was struck by two vehicles, one heading northbound and the other southbound. Deputy shoots man after traffic stop, foot chase in Brooksville

There was a large law enforcement presence in Brooksville Thursday night following a deputy-involved shooting.
