According to firefighters, nobody was injured, but the home is a total loss. The crash was reported to the Florida Highway Patrol at around 7:15 a.m., on Tuesday. At 8:55 a.m., the crash had cleared, a tow truck arrived on the scene to help remove the damaged vehicles. A man was found guilty by a Santa Rosa County jury of aggravated battery on a victim 65 years of age or older with great bodily harm. Terry Terrance Rawls, of Lee County, Florida, attacked a prison counselor, choked her and caused her to break her left leg. At the time, Rawls was serving a prison sentence for a burglary and sexual battery he committed in Hardee County. Rawls was sentenced to the Prison Releasee Reoffender guidelines. He was sentenced

A woman from Boise, Idaho, died Friday night after walking directly in front a van in Santa Rosa County, according to a Florida Highway Patrol news release. The Florida Highway Patrol says a woman driving a van was traveling eastbound on U.S. Highway 98, while a 34-year-old woman was walking on the north shoulder. A driver and passenger were killed in a single-vehicle crash in Osceola County on Monday morning, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. Troopers said the deadly crash happened at 11:40 a.m. on the U.S. Highway 192 westbound ramp to northbound World Drive in Kissimmee.
