Photo by:  (WJXT) A JTA bus was involved in a crash Thursday morning near the intersection of Timuquana Road and Roosevelt Boulevard on Jacksonville’s Westside. According to Jacksonville Fire and Rescue, at least four people were taken to the hospital from the crash. It appears a car slammed into the back of the bus. Traffic on Timuquana Road headed east toward Roosevelt Boulevard is bottlenecked because of the crash. News4JAX will update as we learn more about this developing story.

A 14-year-old boy was airlifted to the hospital following a crash in Port St. Lucie on Wednesday night. The Port St. Lucie Police Department (PSLPD) said at around 8:38 p.m., officers responded to a vehicle vs. bicycle crash at the intersection of SW Tradition Pkwy and SW Village Pkwy. Two men were found dead inside a bullet-riddled car that crashed near the Turnpike in southwest Miami-Dade. The crash, on Quail Roost Drive at SW 113th Avenue, was reported around 11:30 p.m. Wednesday. The car slammed into a utility pole near the Turnpike overpass and ended up in the intersection. An unmarked Broward Sheriff’s Office pickup truck was struck by a vehicle and flipped onto its side Wednesday afternoon as detectives were trying to stop another driver who was fleeing from authorities on Interstate 95, authorities confirmed. A crash Thursday morning between a car and a dump truck killed one person and shut down both directions of traffic on Lucerne Park Road. Winter Haven police said the crash happened at the intersection with Old Lucerne Park Road. They gave no other details and said the investigation had been turned over to the Florida Highway Patrol.
