A 27-year-old man died after he was struck by a St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office patrol SUV in St. Johns County on Sunday morning, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. Officials said at 12:12 a.m., the SUV was traveling south on US-1, just south of Shore Drive when the man walked directly into the path of the SUV, resulting in a collision. Investigators said the man sustained life-threatening injuries and he was taken to a nearby hospital where he died.

PALM COAST, Fla. – A 43-year-old man was arrested Wednesday and accused of threatening workers of a stormwater inspection and maintenance company with a machete in Palm Coast. The Collier County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after one person was stabbed at El Cubano Restaurant on Saturday evening. Deputies say they received reports of a stabbing at 205 W Main Street around 9:30 p.m. Upon arrival, deputies say they found a bouncer for the restaurant with stab wounds before taking him to the hospital as a trauma alert.
