A woman was hit and killed while a driver was reversing in a parking lot in Palm Harbor, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.  It happened at 1 p.m. Tuesday in a parking lot off Tampa Road.  FHP says a 66-year-old woman from Palm Harbor was backing up when she hit a 74-year-old Palm Harbor woman who was walking through the parking lot at the same time. The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. No other information was provided.

A 19-year-old was arrested in Marion County after deputies say he was driving at more than 100 mph in an attempt to flee a traffic stop. It happened on Nov. 26 around 11 p.m. when two deputies witnessed a vehicle traveling 71 mph in a 45 mph zone in the area of Southeast 58th Avenue and Larch Road.
