Online records show Florida Highway Patrol troopers responded to a crash with injuries just after 1 p.m. on the interstate at mile marker 428, north of the U.S. Highway 90 exit. MIAMI – A man died after falling off a motorcycle on Friday in northwestern Miami-Dade County. According to Florida Highway Patrol troopers, the motorcyclist landed on the Palmetto Expressway’s southbound lanes in Hialeah Gardens. Fire Rescue personnel responded to the Palmetto, or State Road 826, near Northwest 103 Street, and took the man to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center. FHP temporarily closed four lanes while investigating what caused the motorcyclist to lose control and fall at about 11:30 a.m.

JUPITER, Fla. (CBS12) — A chemical spill in Jupiter led to one person in the hospital on Friday morning. Palm Beach County Fire Rescue (PBCFR) said at around 8:30 a.m., a landscaping truck carrying multiple containers of chemicals crashed into a tree on Military Trail, off Indiantown Road, resulting in a chemical spill and one person being hospitalized. A Texas man was arrested on Halloween after putting a knife to a woman’s neck and threatening her life as she sat on a bench in Destin, according to the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office. 58-year old Paul Besinger of San Antonio is charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon. A 30-year-old motorcyclist was killed in a crash early Friday morning in Walton County. It happened around 1:50 a.m. on County Road 30A approaching Preserve Place. According to Florida Highway Patrol, the 30-year-old Santa Rosa Beach man was traveling west on County Road 30A when his motorcycle ran off the roadway. The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office released surveillance footage showing the moments an inmate attacked a deputy. The video was taken inside the Falkenburg Road Jail on Oct. 19. The attack lasted for several minutes before another inmate stepped in. Sheriff Chad Chronister filed a motion Thursday asking for the full video to be sealed by the courts. He said it shows how many surveillance cameras are in the jail and where they are. Officers could be seen taping off the scene at SW 1st Street and SW 1st Avenue, off of Hallandale Beach Boulevard. A deadly crash shut down a portion of Gandy Boulevard for several hours on Thursday evening. The crash happened around 5:30 pm on Gandy Boulevard at Brighton Bay Boulevard. All eastbound lanes were closed, causing traffic to be at a near-standstill for miles along the roadway. The roadway has since reopened.  While the Florida Highway Patrol said the crash was deadly, it’s not clear what caused the crash or how many people were hurt.
