A Clearwater man was charged with DUI after slamming into a police cruiser stopped along the Courtney Campbell Causeway on Thursday. Jerry Wayne Sandefur Jr., 45, struck a Clearwater Police Department cruiser that was stopped to help with a disabled vehicle at 11 p.m., according to an arrest report.
