Two men were killed Sunday morning after their car crashed into a wall near an apartment complex on North 50th Street near East Busch Boulevard. The crash happened around 5 a.m. and shut down North 50th Street in both directions for several hours before it reopened to traffic. Police in Port Orange are investigating the death of an elderly woman. Officers said they were called around 3:40 a.m. Sunday to a home on Coconut Palm Circle. One man was shot on Sunday afternoon during a fight in Escambia County, according to deputies. The shooting occurred around 2 p.m. on the 5600 block of Nicholas Lane. 26-year-old Thaddeus English was still on the scene and taken into custody when deputies arrived, according to ECSO. English is being held in Escambia County Jail on charges of attempted homicide with no bond.
