A Pinellas County Sheriff’s deputy is in the hospital after authorities said he was hurt in a crash involving multiple cars Wednesday night in Palm Harbor. The crash occurred in the area of Nebraska Avenue and U.S. 19, the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office told ABC Action News. The deputy was taken to the hospital and is being treated for non-life-threatening injuries. The sheriff’s office said a person is in custody as a result of the crash. A man has been arrested following a deadly hit-and-run crash along Lee Boulevard at Hanna Avenue in Lehigh Acres. The crash happened around 5:32 p.m. Tuesday. Deputies say a man led them on a chase through the streets of Tavares on an e-bike before allegedly firing a gunshot at a deputy’s patrol car.  The pursuit began after a traffic stop and quickly escalated as the suspect, later identified as 35-year-old N G, tried to evade the deputy by navigating through parking lots and an embankment.   During the chase, G reportedly fired a shot at the deputy’s vehicle before ditching the e-bike and fleeing on foot.

A Florida mom is accused of attacking and killing her 14-year-old daughter, according to the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office. Sheriff M said deputies were called to a home in Poinciana early Wednesday morning after a 14-year-old girl, later identified as G G, was found unresponsive.
