A cyclist was killed by a pick-up truck in St. Petersburg on Saturday, according to police. Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) troopers said a man is dead after a crash in Middleburg. The victim was a 44-year-old man from Starke who was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash. Investigators say he was traveling westbound on Carter Spencer Road negotiating a curve when he left the roadway to the right. He then traveled through a fence, into a tree and sustained fatal injuries. He was pronounced dead at the Orange Park Medical Center. FHP

 A woman was shot in the arm Sunday morning during a burglary in Oakland Park, authorities said. According to Broward Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Claudinne Caro-Guaraldi, deputies responded to a report of a shooting near the 4900 block of Northeast 13rd Terrace just after 5 a.m. She said responding deputies located the woman, who had a gunshot wound to the arm. Deputies provided first aid to the woman until Oakland Park Fire Rescue arrived and transported her to a local hospital.

One person is dead and several others are injured after an explosion on a boat at a Dania Beach marina on Friday. It happened at around 4:30 p.m. on 4420 Ravenswood Road. A 27-year-old man died after he was struck by a St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office patrol SUV in St. Johns County on Sunday morning, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. Officials said at 12:12 a.m., the SUV was traveling south on US-1, just south of Shore Drive when the man walked directly into the path of the SUV, resulting in a collision. Investigators said the man sustained life-threatening injuries and he was taken to a nearby hospital where he died.

PALM COAST, Fla. – A 43-year-old man was arrested Wednesday and accused of threatening workers of a stormwater inspection and maintenance company with a machete in Palm Coast.
