Belle Glade woman accused of striking child for wrong answers on homework

Margaret A. Gissome, 35, of Belle Glade was arrested Wednesday and charged with one count of child abuse. A report from the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office notes that Gissome is accused of punching a child in the face for providing wrong answers to homework. Man shot to death in West Little River: Miami-Dade Police

Police are investigating after a man was shot and killed in West Little River in northwest Miami-Dade on Friday morning. Miami-Dade Police officials said officers responded to a ShotSpotter alert happened around 6:30 a.m. in the 900 block Northwest 80th Street. A 73-year-old Ocala man was killed on Thursday after his car veered off a local roadway and struck a tree.
