Three cats are safe thanks to the actions of Hernando County firefighters who rushed to save them from a burning home, fire officials said Monday.
Crews responded around 8:30 a.m. Monday to a home off Montano Ave. in Spring Hill.
HCFR said firefighters contained the flames to the garage and rescued three cats, who were unharmed.
The fire likely started in a car parked in the garage, according to investigators, who noted the vehicle was not electric or hybrid.
No injuries were reported.
The exact cause of the fire remains under investigation.
