Chiefland woman dies after 2-vehicle crash in Levy County

A 63-year-old woman from Chiefland is dead after a two-vehicle crash in Levy County Thursday afternoon.

According to Florida Highway Patrol troopers, The 63-year-old woman was traveling east on Northwest 60th Street, approaching Northwest US Highway 19 just after 4 p.m. The driver of the other vehicle was traveling south on Northwest US Highway 19, approaching Northwest 60th Street, when the vehicles collided.

The 63-year-old woman was not wearing a seatbelt and was pronounced dead on the scene.

The driver of the other vehicle sustained only minor injuries.

The crash is still under investigation by the Florida Highway Patrol.
