Child Found Unresponsive in Delray Beach Pool

 A child was found unresponsive Thursday afternoon in a Delray Beach swimming pool. Police shared this alert with BocaNewsNow:

At 230 p.m. today, Delray Beach police and Delray Beach Fire Rescue responded to a call of a child found unresponsive in a pool in the 100-block of SE 7th Avenue.

When police and paramedics arrived, the 5-year old boy had been pulled out of the water and a person was giving him CPR. The child, who is believed to be autistic, appears to have wandered from his home. He was airlifted to the hospital.

His condition is unknown.  It’s unclear how long the child had been in the water. Delray Beach police are conducting an investigation.
