A child is suffering from serious injuries after getting into a crash with a Sarasota police officer while riding a dirt bike.
The Sarasota Police Department says it happened around 6:30 p.m. Monday evening in the area of 22nd Street and Maple Avenue.
The child was taken to Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital where they are currently being treated.
SPD says it is still working to gather more information and will provide more updates as the investigation continues.
