Chipley Fire Chef Hunter Aycock requested the Bonifay Fire Department for mutual aid for a two-story commercial structure fire.
Chief 1, Ladder 1, and Engine 1 responded with a total of eight while a crew stayed on standby in the city. Upon arrival, Chief 1 advised the incoming Bonifay Fire Department units of a working fire with heavy fire showing from the second floor.
Engine 1 was assigned a fire attack on the Charlie side of the building. Ladder 1 was assigned to deploy an elevated master stream to attack the well-involved elevator shaft.
All departments on the scene worked extremely well with one another to complete the mission, including multiple fire agencies, law enforcement, and EMS, fire officials wrote in a Facebook post.
“This was all hands on deck fire scene and teamwork won,” Chief Cook said.
Fire officials confirmed no known injuries were reported on the scene.
Fire Marshals are currently investigating this incident.
