CLEARWATER, Florida – An intersection collision at Seminole Street and Pennsylvania Avenue has left a Clearwater teen hospitalized after his electric scooter collided with an SUV on Monday evening.
According to the police department, the incident took place shortly after 5:30 p.m. at the intersection of Seminole Street and Pennsylvania Avenue. The 16-year-old boy, operating the motorized scooter, collided with a Chevrolet Equinox at the crossing.
Following the collision, the teen was swiftly transported to Bayfront Health St. Petersburg for treatment of serious injuries, while the driver of the SUV escaped unharmed.
