An officer is being treated for an injury he sustained while chasing a suspect on Saturday evening.
According to the Clearwater Police Department, the officer was chasing the fleeing suspect in the area of Martin Luther King Drive and La Salle Street.
While going over a fence, the officer cut his leg. The cut sent him to a hospital for treatment but the severity of the injury is unknown at this time.
Police said the fleeing suspect is in custody, but their identity was not released.
