The Collier County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a deadly shooting in a Naples Manor neighborhood Wednesday morning.
CCSO confirmed one woman is dead after the shooting. Deputies responded to the scene along Texas Avenue around 12:43 a.m.
Gulf Coast News crews on the scene near Mitchell Street were seen blocking the area off as the crime scene units.
Crews said they saw a K9 unit leaving the scene around 4 a.m. There was a larger law enforcement presence earlier Wednesday morning.
The Collier County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene near Parkside Elementary and Lelt High School just after midnight.
Crews said they saw about a dozen deputies in tactical gear, K9 units and a helicopter circling overhead.
CCSO said there is no suspect in custody at this time, but it does remain an active investigation. The identity of the victim has not been shared at this time.
