One person was killed in a crash Thursday morning in Manatee County, authorities said.
It happened around 6:45 a.m. in the area of State Road 62 and Saffold Road, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Troopers say the crash involved a truck and a van. One person died, and three other people were taken to the hospital with various injuries. Video from the Sky 10 helicopter showed at least one medical helicopter and several ambulances responded to a staging area near the scene of the crash.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
