Multiple lanes of I-295 W North near 103rd Street were shut down during a rainy Sunday afternoon following a “major” crash.
At least one vehicle was involved in the crash, and at least five rescue units were on the scene around 3 p.m.
Two left lanes were blocked after the crash, and briefly reopened at 3:10 p.m. As of 3:30, two lanes were shut down again as the vehicle involved was towed away.
It wasn’t immediately clear if there were injuries.
Traffic was slowed in both directions.
