It’s a house fire there that they’re working to make sure those hotspots don’t flare back up.

NBC’s six is live with us live on the scene. And Olivia, it looks like the family members were there behind you, huddled up.

It’s a cold morning. Do we have any idea of what might have sparked the fire there?

Well, right behind me, you can actually see where some of that damage may have started.

And yes, we can see those family members here on scene. A very cold morning and obviously just a difficult situation to be woken from your home in the middle of the night to something like this.

Authorities say it was a large fire and you can see that actually in some video we got from a neighbor across the street, if you take a look.

Authorities say they were called here just before 315 this morning to a home on Ramona Street.

And when they got here, they saw these large flames coming from the back corner of the house.

That’s where they believe it started on that outside structure, but then spread to the inside.

Now, authorities say there are at least eight people who live here, and they cannot go back to their home this morning.

However, they have said that the damage was relatively contained. Again, really staying to the back corner of the house.

Really the biggest concern right now, aside from the damage that we’re seeing from the fire, is that there is no power to this home.

Authorities say that’s part of the investigative process here. They say it could have been an electrical fire. But again, it’s really too soon to say. That’s just one of many things that they are looking at.

The state fire marshal is also on scene investigating the cause. Again, 8 to 10 people living in this home. The most important thing here is that we’re told there were no reported injuries.

We’re told there was also a pet cat that got out, was temporarily lost, but has since been located.

And again, that animal was not injured either.
