On Wednesday, an accident on Hathaway Bridge led to a D.U.I. and careless driving arrest.
Around 2:00 p.m., Brady Hawkins Mandigo, 35, of Panama City Beach, was driving west on U.S. Highway 98 when he attempted to change lanes and collided with another vehicle. He then struck the concrete wall of the bridge.
Mandigo was arrested and charged with Driving Under the Influence and Careless Driving.
The driver of the second vehicle was a 33-year-old woman from Columbus, Georgia. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, both vehicles were moved from the roadway and no injuries were reported.
