An Escambia County Jail inmate violently attacked her cellmate on Oct. 4, according to the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office.
Asia Harvey, 27,is chargedwith aggravated battery, says the sheriff’s office.
“Upon investigation, it was concluded that the victim had been in a cell with the suspect, Asia Harvey, for three days,” deputies say. “Those three days proved difficult for the victim as Harvey began acting irrationally.”
According to the sheriff’s office, Harvey threw toilet water on the victim, grabbed her by the hair, and punched her. She then got on top of the victim, biting her arm and a large chunk of hereyebrow off.
Correction officers intervened,separating Harvey from the victim, says deputies.
No further information was released.
