Deputies investigate crash after vehicle hits pole in Bonita Springs

Lee County deputies are on the scene of a crash at Bonita Grande Drive and East Terry Street.

According to the Bonita Springs Fire Control and Rescue District, a vehicle reportedly hit a pole and overturned with power lines lying over it.

Fire officials said Florida Power & Light temporarily turned off the power to the area.

According to Bonita Springs Fire, the Lee County Sheriff’s Office is helping in the search for the driver who has been missing since the time of the crash.

LCSO’s helicopter is completing the search as well as a search dog. Fire officials said LCSO and FPL are still on the scene and East Terry Street from Bonita Grande Drive is closed off.
