A man died from his injuries Monday morning after an Orlando gas station shooting Sunday, according to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office.
According to OCSO, deputies responded to the Citgo gas station located at 719 North Powers Drive Sunday around 6:40 p.m. after reports of a shooting.
When deputies arrived, they found 33-year-old Lavon Fuquan Hawkins Jr. had been shot. Deputies said he was transported to a hospital in critical condition Sunday night, but died this morning from his injuries.
Orange County deputies did not release information on possible suspects or what prompted the shooting.
This is an active and ongoing investigation.
