A man was shot on Pensacola Beach Monday night, according to the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies received a call about the shooting around 10:37 p.m. The man was shot in the chest on Via De Luna Drive and Fort Pickens Road, says the sheriff’s office.
According to deputies, he was flown to a hospital. His medical status is unclear at this time.
The sheriff’s office says investigators believe the shooting stemmed from a domestic-related incident. Deputies are questioning the victim’s wife.
