A woman is dead after she was shot during a domestic disturbance in Edgewater on Thursday, according to the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies said the incident was reported at around 5:10 p.m. at a home off Liza Clinton Road.
The man accused of shooting the victim to death received treatment at the scene for a minor injury, according to deputies.
Detectives will be interviewing him for further information.
Neighbors near the incident scene said the home is usually quiet.
So far, there are no details on what led to the shooting or the relationship between the victim and the suspected shooter.
