Deputies with the Broward Sheriff’s Office identified a man Wednesday who they said was killed during a shooting that occurred early Saturday morning in Dania Beach.
According to Gerdy St. Louis, a BSO spokeswoman, deputies learned about the shooting at about 4:50 a.m. and found Robert Lee Speights, whose age was not disclosed due to Marsy’s Law, dead at the scene after he sustained multiple gunshot wounds near the 700 block of Southwest 10th Street.
A Local 10 News crew arrived at the scene shortly after the shooting was reported, as detectives surveyed the area between Phippen Waiters Road and J.A. Ely Boulevard, just west of Woodlawn Cemetery.
Detectives are asking anyone with information about this or other cases to call Broward County Crime Stoppers at 954-493-8477.
