Dog attacks couple in Chiefland killing wife, wounding husband.

TV20 has learned the identities of the victims involved in a deadly dog attack in Chiefland on Friday.

Friends and family confirm Leonora Lawhon Hale and her husband Jim were attacked by a Catahoula Leopard dog on Jan. 29.

Leonora Hale died from her injuries. Jim Hale is currently in the hospital but is expected to recover from his injuries. He is set to be moved to a rehab center soon.

The couple have been breeding Catahoula Leopard dogs for more than 25 years.

No details have been released about the events leading up to the attack.
