Driver crashes on Highway 29 after swerving to avoid skeleton decoration in the road

A driver crashed on Highway 29 Friday morning after swerving to avoid a skeleton decoration that fell out the back of a truck, according to NorthEscambia.com.

It happened around 7 a.m. near Success Drive.

According to Florida Highway Patrol, a 21-year-old Century woman was traveling south in her car when a vehicle in front of her swerved to avoid the skeleton in the roadway. The 21-year-old swerved to avoid colliding with the car in front of her, lost control and crashed into trees off the roadway.

She was transported to the hospital with minor.

NorthEscambia.com captured a photo of the skeleton decoration.

“We are told that the driver of the truck stopped to render assistance,” NorthEscambia.com reports.

FHP is investigating.
