Driver pulled from window of his vehicle, thrown to ground, left with fractured eye socket

A man’s eye socket was fractured after he was pulled out of his car through the window and repeatedly punched by a man in Greenacres over a dispute about a woman.

The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office (PBSO) said the attack occurred in the parking lot at 3080 Swain Blvd. on December 5 at around 10 p.m. According to a witness sitting inside the victim’s vehicle, 30-year-old A C blocked them in the parking lot with his truck, approached the driver’s side window, and began punching the victim.

The situation escalated further when C then allegedly pulled the victim out of the vehicle, threw him to the ground, and continued to punch the victim. Eventually, PBSO said the victim was able to get away and flee to safety.

From the attack, PBSO said the victim sustained a left orbital fracture, where one or more of the bones that make up an eye socket is broken, according to Cleveland Clinic.

The victim had previously lived with C, according to the sheriff’s office. The incident reportedly stemmed from a personal dispute involving the victim and the mother of C’s child.

C was booked into the Palm Beach County Jail on January 9 for aggravated battery causing great bodily harm and burglary to a conveyance.
