A 90-year-old driver died early Thursday morning, several days after a near head-on collision on one of Boynton Beach’s main roads over the weekend.

In an update, the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office (PBSO) reported Nathaneal Rossin had died as the result of his Honda Accord being struck by an SUV on Sunday at the intersection of South Jog Road and Flavor Pict Road.

According to its report, Rossin was heading north on Jog Road when a southbound driver tried turning left onto Flavor Pict Road. Investigators determined the 75-year-old driver of the Toyota RAV4 had not yielded, and the two vehicles collided.

Images released by the Sheriff’s Office shortly after the wreck showed the extent of the damage with both vehicles having sustained severe front-end damage.

Both men were taken to the hospital after the crash, PBSO stated, noting that the other driver had suffered minor injuries.
