A car crash happened on Dec. 31, 2024, at 1:18 p.m. at the intersection of Lyons Road and Rosemount Drive.
One car was turning left onto Rosemount Drive when it hit another car driving straight through the intersection. The crash caused both cars to spin and stop on opposite sides of the road.
The driver of the turning car went to Wellington Regional Medical Center with injuries. A passenger in the other car was taken to Delray Medical Center but died from their injuries. The driver and a backseat passenger in that car were not hurt.
Police are looking into what caused the crash.
