FHP: Driver killed in Orange County crash Sunday morning

Florida Highway Patrol is investigating after a Sunday morning fatal crash on North Pine Hills Road in Orange County.

FHP said the driver of a 2010 Honda Civic traveling southbound on North Pine Hills Road lost control while negotiating a curve near Balboa Drive. The Civic then ran off the roadway and struck a concrete utility pole.

The driver, a 20-year-old Orlando man, was transported to Orlando Regional Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.

FHP has cleared the roadblock in the southbound lanes of Pine Hills Road from Dolores Drive to Balboa Drive as of noontime Sunday.
