FHP: Man dies after crashing into tree in Baker County

A man is dead after a crash on County Road 23A in Baker County Monday afternoon, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

An FHP crash report states around 4:25 p.m., a pickup truck heading north on CR-23A near S. Tall Pine Road when “for unknown reasons” the vehicle left the roadway.

The truck continued onto the shoulder before crashing into a large tree, FHP said.

The 65-year-old Macclenny man driving the truck was killed.

The FHP report states the man was not wearing a seatbelt.
