A Pensacola man died in a fiery crash on I-110 early Sunday morning, according to Florida Highway Patrol.

In a release, troopers say the accident happened around 4:50 a.m. as the man driving a Ford sedan was traveling northbound in the southbound lanes of the interstate.

FHP says the Ford collided head on with a Chevy SUV traveling southbound on I-110 — resulting in the Ford catching fire.

As the Ford was engulfed in flames, troopers say a Toyota sedan traveling southbound on the interstate collided with the Chevy due to obscured vision on the roadway.

Investigators say the man in the Ford died from his injuries, while the driver of the Chevy suffered serious injuries. The driver of the Toyota had no injuries reported.

At this time, no further information has been released.
