FHP: Woman dies after driver backs into her in Palm Harbor parking lot

A woman was hit and killed while a driver was reversing in a parking lot in Palm Harbor, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. 

It happened at 1 p.m. Tuesday in a parking lot off Tampa Road. 

FHP says a 66-year-old woman from Palm Harbor was backing up when she hit a 74-year-old Palm Harbor woman who was walking through the parking lot at the same time.

The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. No other information was provided.
