Troopers said one man was killed and two people were seriously injured, one being a 16-year-old girl, following a deadly Florida crash Friday night.

Reports show the crash took place around 5:30 p.m. in the area of County Road 475 and State Road 44.

Officials are searching for anyone with information regarding the driver who caused the crash.

What caused the crash?

The backstory:

The Florida Highway Patrol said an unidentified car, driven by an unidentified person, was traveling southbound on C.R. 474, approaching a stop sign for the intersection of S.R. 44.

Troopers stated a Nissan Altima was traveling westbound on S.R. 44, approaching the intersection of C.R. 475, while a Chevy pickup truck was traveling eastbound on S.R. 44, approaching the intersection of C.R. 475.

Reports show the unknown car did not yield and entered the intersection of the two highways.

To avoid crashing into the unknown car, the driver of the Nissan steered to the left and into the eastbound lanes, where they then collided with the Chevy, authorities said.

Following the crash, both the Nissan and the Chevy caught fire, troopers said.
