Two dogs have died and five adults have been displaced after a structure fire in Myrtle Grove on Tuesday morning, according to the local fire chief.

The incident occurred around 5:55 a.m. on McNeil Street where firefighters attempted to resuscitate one of the dogs, but their efforts were unsuccessful.

The fire department has reached out to the Red Cross for assistance for the affected adults.

The fire chief confirmed that all human occupants were unharmed and stated that it took 30 minutes to bring the fire under control.
