Flames billowed from a home along Ninth Avenue in Pine Manor Monday afternoon, causing a family to be displaced from the residence.
According to the South Trail Fire Protection and Rescue Service District, crews extinguished the flames and were working on overhauling and salvaging the place.
There was smoke and flame damage on the inside and the home is not considered livable at this point, fire officials said.
One woman had a minor injury inside the home but refused to get treated.
According to the American Red Cross, four people, including one child, are receiving assistance from the organization.
South Trail Fire and Rescue Fire Marshal were also called to help with the investigation.
