Palm Beach County Fire Rescue battled what appeared to be a house fire in Royal Palm Beach on Monday.
According to the PBCFR, the fire occurred on Puffin Court. When the first engine arrived they observed plumes of black smoke coming from the roofline and nearby windows.
Firefighters did a quick search of the property and found that there was nobody inside. At the same time, an aggressive fire attack was done in the interior of the structure with a hose line.
PBCFR says firefighters cut a hole high on the roof line above the fire which allowed for smoke and superheated gases to escape.
Firefighters are investigating what caused the fire.
