Lee County firefighters responded to a mobile home fire on Elwood Road, outside San Carlos Park west of U.S. 41.
The mobile home fire was reported to first responders at around 4:30 a.m. on Friday.
According to the San Carlos Fire Protection and Rescue Service, the home was engulfed by flames, forcing first responders to act quickly.
The home’s only occupant was seen outside and unharmed.
Crews extinguished the fire before it spread to nearby homes.
Early reports of the scene found that Estero Fire Rescue, San Carlos Park Fire Protection and Rescue Service and Florida Power and Light trucks responded to the scene.
The state fire marshal has assumed the responsibility of investigating the structure fire.
The cause remains unknown.
