Firefighters rescue trapped man after vehicle crash in High Springs

Alachua County Fire Rescue crews rescued a man who was trapped inside a pick-up truck after a vehicle collision Monday afternoon.

High Springs Fire Rescue crews say the crash happened at the intersection of US Highway 441 and Northwest 202nd Street just after 12:30 p.m.

The crash involved a tow truck and the pick-up.

Officials say road lanes were temporarily blocked due to the debris.

Firefighters say the man pulled from the wreck was taken to UF Health Shands.
