Just before 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, South Walton Fire District B-Shift crews responded to a structure fire off of Chat Holly Road in Santa Rosa Beach.

SWFD said the address was only a few blocks from their Station 3 location, and firefighters arrived quickly, reporting smoke visible from the home’s front door.

The home’s occupants told crews everyone made it out safely, and the fire was located in the area of the kitchen stove.

While Squad 3 firefighters stretched their first houseline, officials said the Rescue 3 crew entered the home with a water can and extinguished the fire. The fire was out within 10 minutes of the initial 911 call. No one was injured, and the residence was not damaged.
