Two people were arrested after police say they assaulted a woman in Palm Beach County.
Elmin Sanchez and Thelma E. Salinas were arrested Sunday, Aug. 25, and each charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.
A report from the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office notes that Sanchez arrived at the home of the female victim and allegedly hit the victim and also used a hammer to strike the victim. Later on, Sanchez is accused of pouring a chemical on the victim’s skin, which caused the victim’s skin to burn.
The report notes that Salinas also arrived at the location of the incident and began to physically assault the victim as well. The victim did fight back, as the report notes Salinas was injured by a brick.
Deputies initially engaged the victim running down the street and visibly injured on the 4500 block of Elmhurst Road.
Sanchez and Salinas are being held in the Palm Beach County jail on no bond.
