A man is dead and his wife injured after a shooting that occurred in the early hours of Saturday morning.
According to the Volusia Sheriff’s Office, they responded to reports of a shooting on Carol Ann Drive around 12:17 a.m.
In a social media post, VSO said that a husband shot his wife before turning the gun on himself following an argument.
The wife was taken to a nearby hospital where VSO said she remains in stable condition.
Officers noted that there was no reported history of domestic violence or related incidents involving the couple.
